Job Duties
- Trouble shoot and repair all types of equipment
- Operate equipment to diagnose problems, inspect equipment for defects
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozer etc. Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr
- Perform preventative maintenance as required
- Ability to work through unexpected equipment failure situations
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and manuals
- Minimal welding
- Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Qualities
- Technical degree or certification a plus
- MSHA
- Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
- The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
- Solid written and verbal communication skill
- Class A or B CDL not required but willing to obtain
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 year of’ experience working with diesel engines and heavy duty trucks
- Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- A knowledge of construction equipment maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, gasoline and record keeping
- Must have your own set of general tools
- Use computers for web based training and work order system
- Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
- Clean driving record
