Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Spokane, Washington office, who is passionate about their craft, wants to work with a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth within existing energy markets as well as emerging markets including carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), hydrogen, and alternative energy. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic team player with 5 to 15 years of experience. The Spokane Office offers a small firm work environment with large firm opportunities.
You will be working directly with clients providing consulting services. The ideal candidate will have the following experience in: providing engineering for a variety of projects involving process piping design and analysis; oil and gas pipelines; pumping and compressor systems; and, overseeing subcontractors and coordinating multifaceted projects. Candidates should have experience with ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8 codes, as well as familiarity with other applicable ASME and API codes as they relate to process piping and infrastructure.
Expected annual salary of $90,000 – $122,000.

Qualifications
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) (preferred)
- 5-15 years of experience in oil & gas, refining, and/or pipeline industries
- Experience with oil and gas general facility engineering support tasks
- Reading and preparing project drawings including piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials
- Performing general facility engineering, fluid hydraulics and piping stress analysis calculations. Experience with software such as AFT products and AutoPIPE and/or CAESAR II preferred.
- Experience in performing walk downs and verification of existing facilities and piping configurations, as well as developing new piping and equipment arrangements based on existing conditions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically to provide support at job sites
