Job Summary: We have a great full-time opportunity for Senior Texas Registered Architect at our Houston officeThis role assists the design teams through all project phases including business and client development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, design and construction documents, and construction administration while maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have worked in Federal, Industrial, Transportation, and Commercial markets.

Education: Bachelor's in Architecture required 
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Leads Architect group and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to produce design documents for a wide variety of building types
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects with a high degree of technical complexity.
  • Supervise project team cooperatively with the project designer.
  • Coordinate workload within project teams and work with other project directors to manage workload across the office.
  • Ensure project development, documentation and its completion meets schedule and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Review work and propose changes to design, and to comply with building codes and budget.
  • Prepare plan of action to resolve project issues.
  • Assist with monitor internal staffing needs and coordinate client staff and their internal customers, architects, engineers, contractors and vendors.
  • Assist with writing proposals and participate in contract negotiations with clients and consultants.
  • Prepare bids or assist with contractor selection process.
  • Assist market sector teams in preparing proposals, and participating in new project presentations as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Architecture required
  • Registered Licensed Architect in Texas required.
  • Minimum 9-13 years in profession as an Architect
  • Demonstrated building construction technical experience
  • Have worked in Federal, Industrial, Transportation, and Commercial markets
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Proficient in REVIT and Adobe Suite a must and working knowledge with architectural tools such as SketchUp
  • Strong schematic design and design development experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate consultant teams
  • Ability to interact with owners and user groups
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
